Animals seen in different parks:
Common herbivores like zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, gazelles, impala and the waterbuck are easily seen in most parks.
Lions and cheetahs are present in most parks but are most easily seen in the Masai Mara.
Leopards, although relatively common, are rarely seen as they are nocturnal. The Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park and Samburu National Park are three of the best places to see leopard.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve: This is the best place for the big cats, especially lions.
Wildebeest migration takes place from late June to early October when these animals move into the Masai Mara from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania in big numbers. This has always been a major attraction and was recently voted as one of the ‘worlds’ seven wonders’.

Tsavo National Parks: Good for elephants but not as easily approachable as when in Amboseli National Park.

Selenkay: Lions and cheetahs are present but not always seen. It is also the good choice for having a glimpse of giraffes and less commonly seen animals like jackal, servile cat and African wild cat. It also has lesser kudu, gerenuk, Oryx which are not found in the Mara.

Amboseli National Park: The best place to see elephants at close range. Lions are also present.

Lake Nakuru National Park: The White rhino are commonly seen, black rhino are less frequently but present. Good for seeing leopard on early morning game drives.

Samburu National Park: Good for viewing elephants, Lions and cheetah. Leopard seen quite often. The less common reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra can also be seen.
