GRAND KENYA SAFARI-BEST OF BUSH & BEACH
Day 1 – Tree hotel in Mount Kenya National Park
After your pre-safari briefing in Nairobi drive north through the lush foothills and tea and coffee plantations around the Aberdares Mountains and Mount Kenya to your Tree hotel, for a night of watching animals come to the floodlit water hole. This is pure theatre a great way to introduce you to your safari. This area is home of the Kikuyu tribe.

Day 2 – Samburu National Reserve
Depart after breakfast and drive into Kenya’s rugged North-eastern region, home of the colorful Samburu tribe, crossing the Equator en route. Arrive at your riverside lodge around noon. In the late afternoon there will be game drive in this park home to all the main animals, as well as some unique ones like the Grevy’s Zebra and Reticulated Giraffe. Also good for river life with crocodiles and hippos. Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast at your lodge.

Day 3 – Samburu National Reserve
This day, there will be early morning and afternoon game drives conducted by our safari guide.
The full day is spent exploring Samburu.

Day 4 –Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive through the Great Rift Valley into Lake Nakuru National Park. Afternoon game drives in this compact little park famous for its flamingos and other bird life, and for Leopard, Elephant, Buck and many other species.
Overnight: Lionhill Lodge or similar.
Day 5 – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Depart after breakfast and continue through the Great Rift Valley and its extinct volcanoes into the land of the famous Masai tribe, and into the wildlife reserve named after them. This is Kenya’s most famous reserve, and in your afternoon game drive you will have the opportunity to seek out the "Big Five" i.e., Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo, and all other species which have made this reserve so famous. Visit to local Masai Village in the afternoon.

Day 6 – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning and afternoon game drives all with superb photographic opportunities.
Optional balloon ride at dawn (Extra cost)

Day 7 – Mombasa-Beach Hotel -North Coast
Check out of lodge in the Mara after breakfast and depart for Nairobi.
Proceed by road driving via Narok to arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon.
Lunch at The Carnivore Restaurant before transfer to JKI Airport for your flight to Mombasa .
You are met on arrival at Moi airport Mombassa by John Travel Agency staff and transferred to your beach hotel in the North Coast; spend the remainder of the day at leisure at your hotel.
Overnight: Mombasa Serena Beach Hotel or Sun N Sand Club or Whitesands Beach Hotel.
Day 8 –Mombasa-Beach Hotel -North Coast
Breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the day spent free to discover Mombassa on own arrangements.
We recommend excursions including: city tour of Mombassa including visits to Fort Jesus and the Changamwe Co-operative handicrafts market, afterwards transfer back to the hotel spend the rest of the remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the beach. Dinner is served at the hotel this evening.
Day 9 –Mombasa-Beach Hotel -North Coast
Breakfast at the hotel, the rest of the day spent free to discover Mombassa on own arrangements we recommend: excursions including: Ngomomongo Cultural Village, Haller Nature Park, Mamba Crocodile Farm afterwards transfer back to the hotel spend the rest of the remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the beach. Dinner is served at the hotel this evening.
Day 10-DEPARTURE via Nairobi.
After breakfast at your hotel you are free at leisure until time for your airport transfer. Standard check out time is 10:00; arrangements can be made on site for extension of check out time subject to hotel’s co-operation/room availability.
Transfer to the airport for flight back to Nairobi. John Travel Agency will transfer you to Moi International airport to connect your flight to Nairobi to connect your homebound flight.
Depending on departure flight we could arrange for an option lunch at the renowned Carnivore/Tamarind restaurant in Nairobi.
